1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") govern your use of the LokLok mobile application ("Service"). By downloading, installing, or using LokLok, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. I reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service following modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Description of Service

LokLok is a free Android application that allows two users to pair their devices and draw on each other's lock screens. Drawings are synchronized in real time via Firebase and protected with end-to-end encryption. The app does not require account creation, email, or passwords—pairing is done via QR code exchange.

3. Eligibility

By using LokLok, you represent and warrant that:

• • You are at least 13 years of age
• • If under 18, you have parental or guardian consent
• • You comply with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction
• • You will use the Service only for its intended purpose

4. License & Use Rights

I grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

• • Modify, reverse engineer, or decompile the app
• • Use the Service for commercial purposes without authorization
• • Distribute, sell, or lease the Service
• • Attempt to bypass security measures, encryption, or gain unauthorized access
• • Use the Service to develop competing products
• • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure

5. User Content

5.1 Your Drawings

You retain full ownership of all drawings and content you create within LokLok ("User Content"). By using LokLok, you grant me a limited license to:

• • Encrypt, store, and transmit your drawings for service delivery
• • Apply your drawings to your partner's lock screen as intended

You are solely responsible for the content of your drawings. Do not create or share drawings that contain illegal, abusive, or harmful content.

5.2 LokLok's Intellectual Property

All code, design, graphics, trademarks, and logos are owned by me and protected by copyright and trademark laws. Unauthorized use is prohibited.

6. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to use LokLok to:

• • Harass, threaten, or abuse your paired partner or any other person
• • Create drawings containing illegal content or content that violates laws
• • Distribute malware, viruses, or malicious code through the Service
• • Impersonate another person during pairing
• • Exploit the pairing or sync system for spam or automated misuse
• • Circumvent the encryption or security mechanisms
• • Use the Service to send unwanted or non-consensual content to a paired device

7. Consent & Pairing

LokLok is designed for consensual communication between two users (typically couples or close friends). By using the pairing feature:

• • You confirm that your partner has consented to pair with you and receive drawings on their lock screen
• • You acknowledge that drawings you send will appear on your partner's lock screen and may be visible to others who see their device
• • Either partner may disconnect at any time, which immediately ends the pairing
• • You will not pair with someone's device without their knowledge or consent

8. Lock Screen & Wallpaper

LokLok modifies your Android lock screen wallpaper to display drawings. By enabling this feature, you understand that:

• • Your current lock screen wallpaper will be used as a background for drawings
• • Received drawings may be automatically applied to your lock screen if you enable the auto-apply setting
• • You can reset your wallpaper to its original state at any time via Settings
• • LokLok requires battery optimization exemption on some devices to reliably receive drawings in the background

9. Pricing

LokLok is provided completely free of charge. There are no premium tiers, subscriptions, or in-app purchases. I reserve the right to introduce paid features in the future, which would be offered as optional additions and communicated with advance notice.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. I disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including:

• • Merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose
• • Uninterrupted or error-free service
• • Compatibility with all Android devices and OEM lock screen implementations
• • Timely delivery of drawings under all network conditions

While I implement strong encryption and security practices, I cannot guarantee absolute security. Use the Service at your own risk.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LOKLOK SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• • Loss of data or drawings
• • Changes to your lock screen wallpaper
• • Service interruptions or sync delays
• • Third-party actions or unauthorized access to your device
• • Incompatibility with specific Android devices or OS versions

TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED $100.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LokLok and its developer from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• • Your violation of these Terms
• • Your use of the Service
• • Content of drawings you create or send
• • Pairing with another user's device without their consent

13. Termination

I may restrict your use of the Service if you:

• • Violate these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy
• • Engage in illegal activity or abuse
• • Harass or threaten other users
• • Attempt to circumvent security or encryption

You may stop using LokLok at any time by disconnecting from your partner and uninstalling the app. Disconnecting removes pairing data from Firebase.

14. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

14.1 Informal Resolution

Before pursuing legal action, you agree to contact me at me@actuallyroy.com to attempt resolution. I will respond within 15 business days.

14.2 Arbitration

If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration (except for IP infringement claims, which may be pursued in court). You agree to:

• • Single arbitrator resolving disputes
• • Arbitration conducted remotely via video conference
• • Each party bearing its own costs (unless arbitration rules require otherwise)

14.3 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which LokLok operates, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions.

15. Third-Party Services

LokLok relies on Firebase (Google) for data synchronization and push notifications. Your use of LokLok is also subject to Google's terms of service for Firebase. I am not responsible for the availability, performance, or policies of third-party services.

16. Modifications to Service

LokLok may be modified, updated, or discontinued at any time with or without notice. I am not liable for any loss resulting from modifications or discontinuation.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid. All other provisions remain in effect.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and LokLok. Any prior agreements or understandings are superseded.
